The Freight Cost Issue of Shipments from China to South America

The Freight Cost Issue of Shipments from China to South America
Last month in April, a Mexican customer contacted us to inquire about two types of ball sleeves complying with Fibro standards, with part numbers 2081.92.032 and 2081.95.032. The total quantity of these two items amounted to 18 pieces in total.

We quoted the freight cost for delivering the goods from China to Mexico, which came to over 400 RMB. The customer immediately mentioned that the shipping fee was surprisingly high, especially when compared with the low unit price of the ball sleeves themselves. He explained that manufacturers producing products following German industrial standards are quite rare in the local market. Even with the expensive transportation cost weighing on him, he finally placed the order with us due to the scarcity of such standard accessories locally.

Freight charges between China and Latin American countries have always been a prominent pain point for cross-border buyers, even for small-batch lightweight industrial parts.

Now I’d like to ask all readers: Would you consider such a freight cost acceptable under this circumstance?
